Why should I get my blinds cleaned?Just like any surface in your home - things get dirty! Dust is ma​de mostly of human skin. If dust settles on damp surfaces  eg bathrooms and kitchens the dust sticks and stays on the blinds. Also in bathrooms there are chemicals sprayed around and in kitchens there is lots of airborne grease. Chemicals and grease will, over a long period of time, start to soften paint finishes and contribute to rotting fabrics and stitching. Another big problem is mould. This will eat into all sorts of materials and even the metal causing the paint to bubble and pitting of the metal surface.

  • How long will my blinds be away?
    In most cases you will have your blinds back the same day or if you wish we can store blinds for you while you have earthquake repairs or redecorating done.​​
 
  • Are you insured?
    We hold public liability insurance of $2 million for any accidents while in your home or business premises.
 
  • Do you use harsh chemicals?
    No we do not. We use an eco-friendly biodegradable detergent. We usually use it in its diluted form but it is applied neat to stubborn stains.​​
 
  • ​How do you clean my blinds?​​
    We use the detergent, a gentle soft brush, water and good old fashioned elbow grease!  Hand and eye co-ordination is vital to the process as sometimes even two sides of the same blind can be quite different.​
 
  • How often should I get my blinds cleaned?
    The answer is simple, if you think they are dirty then you are correct.  
    One key fact we have learnt over the last 12 years is that everyone's version of dirty is different...very different in some cases!!
